The Maypearl Police Department is a professional public safety agency that provides law enforcement services to the citizens and businesses of Maypearl, Texas. Our Department believes in providing the best service possible for our citizens, to prevent or reduce crime, and to provide a safe and secure community environment for all citizens. Service to the good citizens of Maypearl and Ellis County is of the utmost importance to me as well as my officers.
In Maypearl, we take pride in our public safety personnel and welcome the opportunity to share our Department's information with our citizens, the law enforcement community and all internet visitors. The Maypearl Police Department is a professional law enforcement agency providing public safety services to the citizens of Maypearl, Texas. All of our officers are experienced police officers, and are licensed by the State of Texas as Peace Officers. In addition supervisors have had extensive additional training in both Police Supervision as well as Criminal Investigations. Our goal is to provide the citizens of Maypearl with the best trained & professional service possible.

We encourage you to let us know about the quality of service you receive from our Officers.The goal of the Maypearl Police Department is to hire those who are the most qualified and ethical so we can deliver the highest level of police service, with fairness, honesty, and integrity, to the citizens of Maypearl. It is essential that the public have confidence in the ability and integrity of the Maypearl Police Department to investigate and properly adjudicate complaints against its members. This Department is committed to maintaining a professional police organization; therefore, we encourage citizens, who feel a member of this department has violated departmental policy, City of Maypearl rules, unethical behavior or violated any applicable civil or criminal statute or lawful regulation including any bias based profiling, or inappropriate conduct to submit a complaint to this department so that we may correct any deficiencies within our department.
Each complaint is investigated thoroughly to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to sustain the allegation and to take disciplinary action. The investigative process also identifies the need for additional training or policy implementation or revision. Formal complaints may be filed by completing the Statement of Complaint packet and mailing or turning the original in at the Maypearl Police Department located at 104 E. Second Street, Maypearl, TX 76064. Informal complaints may be discussed with any on duty supervisor who can be contacted at 972-435-3671.
A note about complaints; While the Maypearl Police Department encourages complaints or compliments, it is difficult to conduct an investigation and make a determination based on anonymous information. Section 614.022 of the Texas Government Code states that "To be considered by the head of a state agency or by the head of a fire department or local law enforcement agency, the complaint must be in writing and signed by the person making the complaint." Through the use of email you may also commend the actions of an Officer of this Department or verbal commendations can also be given to any department supervisor. We also encourage you to send us your suggestions on how we can better serve you.
Going away on vacation? Download and complete a Vacation Watch form and turn it in at City Hall. An officer will check your house or business periodically for you while your away, and contact you if anything occurs at your home or business.

Once a citation is issued the Police Department no longer has any access or information regarding it. If you received a citation and need information regarding how to take care of it, you will need to contact the Municipal Court at 972 435-2380. You can also click here Maypearl Municipal Court
Accident reports can be obtained in person or by mail. To receive an accident report by mail, send a check or money order for $6.00 with the report number to the following address:

Please allow 10 working days for your report to be processed. For accidents that did not happen within the city limits of Maypearl, please call the Texas Dept. of Public Safety at 972 923-6780.
The "Blue Form" is for Drivers of a motor vehicle involved in a crash not investigated by a law enforcement officer and resulting in injury to or death of any person, or damage to the property of any one person, including himself, to any apparent extent of at least one thousand dollars ($1,000), must within 10 days after such crash complete and mail it to the State.
